New Moon, the second film in The Twilight Saga, has smashed the box office with an estimated domestic intake of over $255 million dollars in just three weeks of release.  Come June 30, 2010, you will be able to see the vampires and werewolves of Twilight bigger than ever before.  This is because the third installment of the saga, Eclipse, is headed to Imax.

“‘Twilight’ moviegoers will have a whole new way to experience this next installment of the series, with the enhanced image and sound quality of the Imax experience,” said Richie Fay, a Summit distribution topper.

Greg Foster, president of Imax Filmed Entertainment, said it is “poised to take advantage of the rapidly growing fan base devoted to this dynamic, cutting edge series.“
