Director Chuck Russell (The Scorpion King) will direct a 3D version of Arabian Nights from a script he has co-written with Barry P. Ambrose.  In a twist on the classic story, Russell’s Arabian Nights follows a young commander who teams up with Sinbad, Aladdin, and the Genie to rescue Scheherazade from evil forces.

Russell shared, ”Through the use of a new generation of visual technologies, we will be able to quite literally take audiences around the world on a magic carpet ride.”

Arabian Nights is set for production in April, with financing from Inferno Entertainment.
