Unique Features and Constantin Film are set to produce a new vampire television series called “The Mortal Instruments.”  The series will be an adaption of the novels “City of Bones,” “City of Ashes,” and “City of Glass,” a fantasy trilogy by Cassandra Clare.  Jessica Postigo will write the adaption.

“Cassandra Clare has created a truly unique, imaginative and universally appealing world seen through the eyes of a 16-year-old girl,” said Robert Kulzer, a producer for Constantin.

The books tell the story of a teenager whose search for her missing mother leads her to a city filled with mysterious fairies, raucous warlocks, vampires and other demons.
